Alpina Schools & Colleges is a premier institution of education, built on the foundation of the unwavering vision and dedication of its Founding Directors, Mrs. Najma Jafri and the late Mr. Nasim Jafri.

The late Mr Jafri was a respected educationist with over 50 years of teaching experience, holding prestigious positions such as Superintendent & Principal of American International School, and serving as a Member of the UNO Educational Development Council for Asia & Middle East, Member of the International School Services, New Jersey, and more. He also dedicated his resources to community work and social welfare projects.

Mrs Jafri, meanwhile, has been the driving force behind the success of Alpina Schools & Colleges. Starting with just three classes and nine students in April 1983, she has built the institute into a cornerstone of junior and high school learning, with eight modern and spacious school campuses in Bahawalpur and three each in Hasilpur & Lodhran. A pioneer in the field of education, Mrs Jafri was one of the first in Pakistan to start Playgroup classes for 3-year-olds, develop customized worksheets for Pre-Primary children, and introduce Urdu language phonetics and Nazira Classes on a researched and ethical basis. She also played a key role in helping the late Hakeem Saeed establish schools for the Hamdard organization, and in formulating the foundations for the Army Public Schools. Additionally, she has served as a Syndicate Member of The Government Sadiq College Women’s University Bahawalpur.

With the late Mr Jafri's professional wisdom and Mrs Jafri's creative academic flair, Alpina Schools & Colleges stands out as one of the premier centres of education in Pakistan, especially in the Bahawalpur region. Over the years, they have provided support, advice, and counsel to a number of other institutions, schools, colleges, and welfare organizations.

The Alpina Family has grown from strength to strength. Mr and Mrs Jafri’s sons, Saad Jafri (MBA - IBA) and Babur Jafri (M.A. Eng. Lang. & Lit. -University of Malaya, and PU), along with their daughters-in-law, Mrs Tania Jafri (M.Sc. - University of Strathclyde, UK) & Mrs Anam Najeeb (MBA, University of Malaya), are serving the schools & colleges in administrative, academic and advisory capacities. They are well complemented by the Honorary Directors, Dr Rabia Ali (PhD – UGA, US), Syed Abid Ali (MSc – UGA, US), and Mr Aaqil Koreja (ex-MPA).

Over the last 40 years, the School has developed an experienced and dedicated core team of professional Principals, Vice Principals, and Senior Teachers. Together, they have built Alpina Schools & Colleges into one of Pakistan’s most respected and successful educational institutions.
